If you missed any of Bones last season, this article likely contains a spoiler! Be advised and proceed with caution.
Season 6 of Fox’s hit Bones ended with a definite cliffhanger, which would have been tolerable if Bones had been expected to come back this fall on a normal schedule-- let’s say end of September-ish. But lead actress Emily Deschanel, who plays Temperance Brennan, is pregnant and the release date has been pushed back into November. This seems like a really bad time to begin airing, because only a few episodes will be shown before the onslaught of the holidays.
Luckily, Fox is already sending out promotional trailers to keep audiences interested. In the first of these, we see how Brennan and Booth are handling their bundle of good news. There may be a baby in the picture, and there is definitely an increase in awkward sexual tension between the two partners. According to the trailer, though, for Brennan and Booth, life is still a bunch of medium-sized mysteries in need of solving. It would have been nicer if Fox had given us a lengthy clip running at least five minutes to tide us over, but maybe we’ll get one of those in October. Until then, I’ll just have to keep searching for a good clip of the crew singing Harry Nilsson’s “Coconut” from last season. Let me know if you beat me to it, and do check out the trailer, below....
