Franklin & Bash, Rizzoli & Isles And 2 Other TNT Summer Shows Get New Premiere Dates

TNT has made some shifts to its summer schedule, the biggest of which pushes Franklin & Bash up by more than a month. Those eager to see the legal drama return for its third season have only to wait until mid-June, rather than the end of July, which is where TNT had originally scheduled the show's return.

That's the good news. It's a little less good for Rizzoli & Isles, which was originally set to return June 18, but has been pushed back by a week to June 25. Also bumped by a week is R&I's Tuesday night primetime partner Perception. The series, which stars Eric McCormack, will be back for its second season on June 25 as well, a week later than originally planned. Finally, there's Cold Justice, TNT's new docudrama that's barely a summer show at this point. The series was set to debut on August 27 but has been reset for a September 3 premiere.

• Franklin & Bash, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Breckin Meyer and new cast member Heather Locklear, will launch its third season with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, June 19, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).• Rizzoli & Isles, starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, will kick off its fourth season on Tuesday, June 25, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).• Perception, starring Eric McCormack, will return for its second season on Tuesday, June 25, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).• Cold Justice, a new unscripted procedural featuring former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and crime-scene investigator Yolanda McClary, will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

TNT didn't mention why they were making the changes, but the alterations aren't particularly drastic, apart from Franklin & Bash, though I doubt fans will complain about the show premiering a month ahead of schedule. The rest were only bumped a week from their original spots. Those are the only date changes mentioned by TNT, which means we should expect The Hero (The Rock's new competition series) to launch on June 6 as planned, along with 72 Hours. And Falling Skies will be back in actin for Season 3 on June 9.

Here's the original video TNT released when they first announced the dates. Just disregard the changed ones at the end and enjoy the tease of the new and returning shows.
