Friends Marathon To Air On TBS This Thanksgiving

There are certain TV comedies that are known for how they acknowledge a specific holiday. For example, The Office usually delivered a pretty fantastic Christmas episode, while Roseanne had some great Halloween episodes. And then there’s Friends, which had some pretty memorable Thanksgiving episodes. So what better way to spend Thanksgiving Day than watching TBS’s Friends marathon? You may have answered that question with “spending time with my family,” “eating turkey” and/or “watching football,” which is just fine, as you can technically do all of that while watching the Friends marathon. There’s enough turkey, family and football to go around for everyone in TBS’s 14-episode line-up.

Fair warning, before you even look at the list below, not all of these episodes are specifically Thanksgiving themed. If you’ve done the math, you may have already figured that out, as the beloved 90s series only consisted of ten seasons, it's unlikely that they would manage to surpass that number in Thanksgiving-themed episodes. But most of the episodes TBS has set to air on Thursday, November 28 are related to the turkey-focused holiday, beginning with “The One where Underdog Gets Away,” the series’ first Thanksgiving-themed episode, and as it turned out, the start of a tradition.

Among the other episodes to air is the one where Joey made Chandler sit in a box after he admitted he kissed Joey’s girlfriend Kathy. And then there’s the one where everyone flashes back to their worst Thanksgiving memories. (“More turkey Mister Chandllllerrr?”). And later on in the day, get your Jennifer Aniston-Brad Pitt flashback on with “The One with the Rumor.” As mentioned though, not all of the episodes are Thanksgiving-focused. During the final couple of hours, the series shifts to that epic fight between Ross and Rachel, which started with Ross’s jealously and led to them taking the infamous “break.” I don't think any of those episodes have anything to do with Thanksgiving, but they're some of the series' most memorable installments.
