Fringe Comic-Con Poster Teases Season 5, They Are Coming
Fox has officially set the fifth season premiere of Fringe for September (cheeky) 28 but those lucky enough to be travelling to San Diego for Comic-Con next week will be treated with a special sneak peek. For the first time, the science-fiction series has booked the big room at the convention, Hall H, and all of the regulars will be in attendance - that's Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick and Jasika Nicole - as well as executive producer J.H. Wyman.
The Sunday morning screening will obviously be a big draw, with it being the last time Fringe Division attends SDCC, so Fox and EW just released this poster to get all the attendees pumped for the panel and also promote the Fall return for anyone missing out on the festivities. Take a look at the Observer-centric, print preview for Season 5 of Fringe... "They are coming."
The fifth (and final) season teaser poster not only serves as a nice collectible for those attending the preview event but also shows Fringe dealing with the dystopian future first viewed in the risky “Letters of Transit” episode written by Wyman and former showrunner Jeff Pinkner. When asked for time-travel details about the season premiere, “Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11,” Wyman responded in kind... “If I give you any spoilers, it will just force me to go back in time and prevent myself from answering this question. So if you wouldn’t mind, I should probably save us all the trouble and the potential paradoxes.” Yep, sounds like Fringe is in capable hands.
Fringe returns this fall on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. The series stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick and Jasika Nicole. It was created by J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
