Fuller House: See What Steve Looks Like Now

Fuller House has been moving forward over at Netflix for some time now. We know that most of the original cast—sans either of the Olsen twins—will be returning for the spinoff. The cast is spending a lot of time together on set right now, and this week Scott Weinger, who played Steve in the original series, shared some pictures. This gives us the first look at what a grownup Steve looks like. We gotta say, we miss those over-the-top nineties locks quite a bit. Steve as an adult is a whole lot less goofy-looking.

In the image, Weinger is spending time with Candace Cameron Bure. When Full House was originally on the air, his character and her character, D.J., were dating, and spent an awful lot of time together. Years later in the reboot, D.J.’s actually going to be the lead character, and she’ll be a pregnant and recently widowed veterinarian and mother. While her husband is no longer around, D.J. is still living in San Francisco. A couple of months ago, we learned that somehow Steve is expected to pop up in the plot. While details have been kept under wraps about his role, he is definitely spending plenty of time on the set.

Case in point, there’s also another image with Weinger and Andrea Barber, who is also returning to play Kimmy Gibbler on Fuller House. This one even gives us a better look at what a grown-up Steve looks like.

It looks like Steve and Kimmy might also be shooting some scenes together. That would make sense, as Kimmy is also set to play a single parent who spends a lot of time with D.J., her boys and D.J.'s sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin).

Obviously, Fuller House has been a pretty high-profile project for Netflix, mostly because of the nostalgia factor but also because most of the original cast seems to be genuinely excited about being on board. A few months ago, we brought you the first looks at the grownup Nicky and Alex, who are now in their twenties. Although Weinger’s hair gives you a pretty good indication of how quickly time flies, the grownup twins who were just little guys when Full House originally aired, will make you feel even older.

At this point, hype over Fuller House is at an all-time high. Unfortunately, it will still be a while before fans can actually binge-watch to their hearts content. The 13-episode series is not expected to hit the schedule until 2016. We’ll let you know as soon as Fuller House gets a premiere date. In the meantime, you can check out what else is set to premiere this fall here.
