Game Of Thrones Season 2 Preview: Arya Stark's New Look

Arya Stark, the tomboy daughter of Ned Stark, spent the first season of Game of Thrones wanting to learn archery and swordfighting, but rankling under the demands of how a highborn "lady" should act. But in season 2 Arya gets her chance to show off her warrior skills, and the actress who plays her, Maisie Williams, is jumping enthusiastically into the change. In this new video from behind the scenes of the Season 2 production, Williams talks about cutting her hair, getting appropriately dirty, and stealing clothes from a dead person. Check it out below.
It says a lot about the popularity of a show when one character's wardrobe change can be considered big news, but Game of Thrones fans are devoted and able to keep up with the immensely complicated world created by George R.R. Martin in the books, so every detail matters. We've gotten a few more details about the forthcoming season, including another preview video and some casting announcements, but nothing will really match the thrill it will be when the show finally returns in April. Even I'm excited, as someone who watched the show intermittently and, as a result, was never quite able to follow it.
With seasons 3 and 4 already rumored to be shot back to back, there's plenty more Game of Thrones to come, and yet a pretty long wait until April. In the meantime let's all give a hand to Maisie Williams, who as a teenager is bold enough to cut her hair off and dig into her character. That's the kind of commitment we expect from a Stark!
