Game Of Thrones Season 4 Photos Include Some Great Character Close-Ups

We're still a few months away from the return of Game of Thrones and after a trailer and some teasy production photos, HBO was kind enough to drop a whole bunch of Season 4 photos in our laps to satiate or whet our appetites for the drama's anticipated return.
HBO actually shared more than a dozen photos from the fourth season of the small screen adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy series. We've embedded a couple of them below and put put some more in the gallery for your viewing pleasure. The rest you can check out over at the Game of Thrones Facebook page. Among the glimpses offered in these images are Kit Harington as Jon Snow (above) and the beautiful Lena Headey as Cersei Lanister in the photo below. You'll notice her brother Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Walau) is looking a bit less scruffy this season…
And these two show off just how brilliant a good pose can be when you're vying for the throne…
Also among the pics are newcomers Pedro Pascal and Indira Varma as Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand…
And another newcomer — kind of — is Michael Huisman, who's playing Daario, a character who was previously introduced on the series but has since been recast…
Here he is again with Daenerys…
And here's Sansa looking sad with Tyrion. I love how he's holding her hand. Wonder what he's saying to her…

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
