Game Of Thrones Season 6 Is Going To Be Nuts, According To Emilia Clarke
Season 5 of Game of Thrones certainly contained its share of amazing, crazy, and aggravating moments. In some cases a single moment counted as all of the above. The cast and crew are already in the early stages of getting Season 6 going however, and according to one cast member, it’s going to be even more insane.
Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Daenerys Targaryen herself, Emilia Clarke, gave her general impression of what the upcoming season was going to look like:
Three “epics” in one statement. Wow. That’s pretty...epic. Clarke says there is very little need to “set the scene” in the coming season which will allow the series to get right into the action and stay there. Exactly what this action will be, nobody outside of George R.R. Martin and the other producers truly knows. While the series has made a handful of changes to the original novels, Season 6 will touch on material that has yet to be published, so no fan has any idea what the action Clarke is talking about will look like. One item of note, The Mother of Dragons says she has read the script. The singular implies the script for entire season so it looks like all the scripts have been finished, if not finalized.
Many fans were more than a little upset with the “shocking moment” that took place at the end of Season 5, so it will be interesting to see what they do to top that. In the Game of Thrones world shocking doesn’t usually mean good, it means somebody you like is about to die. How many more shocking moments can we all take?
Little is known about where Thrones is going from here, apart from one casting call, and of course the knowledge of who won’t be there, unless of course they will be there. We do also know that the dragons will be getting larger in the upcoming episodes, so perhaps they will be the catalyst for all these epic moments. Since we know Daenerys will be part of these world changing moments it certainly makes sense her massive dragons will be as well. It is the Song of Ice and Fire after all. In this case, mostly fire.
Season 6 is about to go into production in Northern Ireland with the season expected to air on HBO around April of 2016. As production gets underway we’ll likely begin to get much more information about what the plan is for the next chapter of the story, and which of our remaining favorite characters will die.
