FX has been loading up on content lately, with shows coming down the pike such as their Elmore Leonard-based Lawman, fantasy-football comedy The League, and a new sitcom from Louis C.K. Their new animated spy spoof, Archer, has been flying under the radar a bit, but you can get an early preview of the show this Thursday after the season premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX. And you won’t even have to lower yourself from the ceiling on wires, Mission: Impossible-style. (Although you could if you really wanted to, I suppose.)
From Sealab 2021 creator Adam Reed, Archer follows the exploits of titular spy Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and his unstable companions at the international spy agency ISIS. When not attempting to save the world from the forces of evil, Archer and the ISIS gang spend just as much time undermining and annoying each other. The voice cast includes Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, and Judy Greer.
Give Archer a look-see this Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. EST, right after Sunny’s fifth-season premiere. Archer’s full season is set to premiere in January.
