Get Ready For A Daily Dose Of Trump
We already known that Donald Trump has a new celebrity version of The Apprentice in the works, but it’s not the only time you’ll be seeing The Donald on TV in 2008. According to Variety, His Donaldness will be soon announcing a deal for a daily half-hour show, which is being sold as a cross between Dr. Phil and Judge Judy (Judge Dr. Trump?).
On the show, which sources say will be shot at Trump’s New York office, will has Mr. Hair serving as a mediator and advisor for people with money disputes and a strong desire to air their financial issues in public. I sure Donald will tell both sides how they totally screwed the pooch, don’t know handle money and his will be the only solution that can fix the problem. I’m also sure that when the deal is finally announced, that it will be not just the greatest half-hour of the 2008 season, but it will be the greatest 30 minutes in the history of television and how we’ll all be better for it by having seen it.
The show is being produced by 20th Century Fox, Reveille Productions, and Trump Productions, Donald’s own company. This year, Trump Productions had worked with MTV on Pageant Place, and The Apprentice is also a co-production between Donald’s and Mark Burnett’s production company.
This could set up an interesting battle of egos in 2008. Can Trump take on Oprah head on? Can your TV handle both Dr. Phil’s giant bald head and a huge combover? Could Judge Judy made Donald seem nice by comparison? It’s making my head hurt already.
