Girl Meets World Gets A New Trailer And A June Premiere Date
Disney Channel's anticipated Boy Meets World followup Girl Meets World now has an official premiere date and an adorable trailer to go with it. The video gives us an introduction to the energetic Riley, who faces the awkwardness of having her father for a history teacher. And said father faces the distress of accepting that his daughter is growing up. As the new preview announces, Girl Meets World will debut on Disney Channel on Friday, June 27 at 9:45 p.m. A little late for a kid's show, no? Hopefully Mom and Dad will let the kids stay up to watch it. There actually is a way to catch the premiere a bit sooner than that.
The new trailer follows the previously released teaser for Girl Meets World. EW reported the date announcement for Girl Meets World, along with news that the comedy will be available to those with verified access to the WATCH Disney Channel streaming platform will be able to catch the series premiere beginning May 21, which is more than a month ahead of the broadcast premiere. Disney Channel will also give kids an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the series on which this new comedy is based through a Boy Meets World marathon, which will air June 15.
The original 90s sitcom centered on Cory Matthews, a kid growing up and learning about life and love and all the things a kid needs to deal with as he approaches manhood. The followup series will center on Cory and his wife Topanga's eldest daughter Riley, who's approaching adolescence.
