Girls Season 2 Character Posters Showcase Breakable Resolutions

HBO's Girls returns in a little more than a month. The recently released trailer gave us a glimpse of what we can expect from the series in its anticipated second season. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the new art for Season 2 give us a general idea of we probably shouldn't expect from the characters when they return for Season 2.

Before we get to those, here's the official poster for Season 2 of Girls. It's a fitting close-up on Lena Dunham, who's the star of the show and the creator.

As Girls has a tendency to zoom in on Hannah's life in a way that's intriguing and comical all at once, the poster works. As does the noncommittal tagline, "Almost getting it kind of together." That brings us to the character posters. HBO released a bunch of character photos, which they've hash-tagged #ResolutionsGirlsBreak (and labeled "anti-resolutions").

Will Hannah stop letting guys treat her heart like monkey meat? Will Marnie stop being uptight? Will Adam put on a shirt? Not likely. But they're thinking about it.

It's the thought that counts, right? After all, if any of these characters actually fulfilled their resolutions, what self-inflicted drama would be left for the show?
