Girls' New Season 3 Trailer Makes Us Want To Dance
In must a matter of weeks, Girls will return for its third season, taking us back into the lives of Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna and Jessa as they continue to try to make sense of their lives. As evidenced by the new trailer, that involves a lot of dancing, which inspired me to go a big GIF-nutty on this video, but before we get to that, let’s look at some of the other highlights.
As Vulture points out, this video includes a glimpse at guest star Jenna Lyons, who’s playing Hannah’s boss and will appear in Episode 6 of Season 3. She seems kind of unimpressed by Hannah’s ability to find the snack room.
In other news, Shoshanna seems unimpressed by how little her friends have accomplished in four years. It’s amusingly insensitive of her to make such an observation out loud, but it’s not entirely surprising, coming from her perspective, as she’s still in college and hasn’t yet discovered that post-grad life won’t necessarily play out like a school year, where they tell you what to do, you do it and you progress to the next level. But that’s a life lesson she’s going to have to learn on her own. In the meantime, it’s looking like things might be looking up for Hannah with her work situation, awkward moments aside. And Marnie seems determined to move forward in her own life. Does that involve some kind of music video on Youtube?
And that brings us to the dance-filled gif-fest to celebrate all the moments in this trailer that make us want to dance. Or watch GIFs of dancing at the very least...
Girls returns Sunday, January 12 with two back-to-back episodes at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
