Girls Season Finale Preview: Are You Punking Me?
"Leave Me Alone," the ninth episode of HBO's first season of Girls, ended with a huge blowup between the two leading ladies, Lena Dunham's Hannah and Allison Williams' Marnie. According to the brief trailer for "She Did," the best friends and now former roommates are at least acting civil as they decide where to go from here. Marnie is trying to be more spontaneous and less, well, Marnie, while Hannah might be getting a new roommate in her former college boyfriend and current homosexual, Andrew Rannells' Elijah. Yeah, that won't cause any issues.
One of the most promising parts of the short preview for this week's finale, however, was Ray and Shoshanna sharing some more screen time. Remember "Welcome to Bushwick a.k.a. The Crackcident" and the non-sexual massaging that happened for the pair played by Alex Karpovsky and Zosia Mamet? There was definitely some chemistry developing between the two - unless it was just the crack - and this new clip from the tenth episode, titled "She Did," focuses on their possibly budding relationship.
I'm not sure what exactly transpired before this snippet but something (or, by the sounds of it, a female someone) has Shoshanna upset and standing alone at Jessa's impromptu shindig. Not to worry though, her mood brightens when Ray approaches and can't help but admit his weird attraction to her and her strange frequency. And that she's not being 'punked.' Going from the preview released earlier this week, we know that Ray soon asks if she wants to go home with him but will she accept the invitation? And will Shoshanna finally lose her virginity? Who cares, as long as we get to see more of these two together. The season finale of Girls airs Sunday at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
