Glease Is The Word: Photos And Spoilers For Glee's Upcoming Grease Tribute Episode
Glee fans have been without new episodes of the Fox musical dramedy series for about a month, and unfortunately there won't be a new episode tonight either. The good news is, Glee returns with a brand new episode a week from today. And the week after "The Role You Were Born To Play" airs, we'll get "Glease," an episode that pays tribute to Grease!
Spoilers ahead!
"Glease" will air November 15 and according to what PerezHilton posted last month, an album of the songs featured in the episode (all of which are covers of Grease! tunes) will be made available November 6. Here's the list of tracks set to be featured on the album.
Now for the pictures. It seems William McKinley High School is putting on a production of Grease! These two photos, which feature the guys at WMHS (played by Jacob Artist, Blake Jenner, Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Samuel Larsen, Harry Shum Jr. and Chord Overstreet.), reveal moments that look like they were pulled straight from Grease! (the movie) during the "Greased Lightning" scene, and as that song happens to be among the tracks set to be featured, it's probably safe to assume that's what they're singing.
See what's going on in the New York side during the "Glease" episode after the jump! Rachel and Cassandra chat about something in dance class…
And it looks like Brody's standing around shirtless and singing? Fox's caption says Brody's performing in this episode.
If I were making a random guess, I'd go with "Hopelessly Devoted To You" as the song he might be singing. It'd be a bit of a gender switch for the song, which is sung by Sandy in the movie, but maybe Brody's pining for Rachel? We'll have to wait and see. It's hard to know how the songs will fit in since there's one episode set to air beforehand, which could set up some context for whatever Grease songs are performed that aren't directly tied into the stage performance at WMHS.
