HBO To Air The Luck Pilot More Than A Month Early

If you’ve been looking forward to the series premiere of HBO’s new drama Luck, you may not have to wait as long as you thought. While the series is still set to debut in January, HBO is planning to air the pilot episode more than a month early.

Luck stars Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte, and follows the drama of horse racing through the eyes of the owners, jockeys, industry people and the people betting on them. While the official premiere is scheduled for January 29, 2012, The Futon Critic states that HBO will give subscribers an early look at the series by airing the premiere episode on December 11th at 10:00/9:00c immediately following the season finale of Boardwalk Empire.

Viewers will get to see the full 57-minute pilot after which the series will make its official premiere more than a month later. It’s not a bad way to pique viewers’ interest in the series before the holiday hiatus. While we wait for that, you can watch the teaser for the series below.
