Jason Dohring Guest Stars In This Week's Ep Of Party Down

I’m already loving Starz’s new comedy series Party Down. In addition to being full of witty dialogue, the series also appears to be a fantastic place for former Veronica Mars stars to reunite. That’s not surprising as VM creator Rob Thomas also happens to be at the helm of Party Down. Fans of Mars will be pleased to know that Jason Dohring (aka Logan Echolls) is set to appear in this week’s episode of Party Down.

I had to do a double-take when I watched the first video (posted below) because I barely recognized Dohring behind that douchy hairstyle he’s got going on there but it’s definitely him. Dohring may have gotten famous playing dreamy bad-boy Logan Echolls but he also gained more than a few fans playing the even badder Josef Kostan in the short lived CBS series Moonlight. In Party Down it looks like he plays some preppie conservative college guy. And According to E! Online, Alona Tal (Meg Manning from VM) is also set to be in this week’s episode.

Here’s the episode description for this Friday’s episode of Party Down:

“Next on Party Down at 10:30pm ET/PT, the team caters the California College Conservative Union Caucus where they anxiously await the arrival of the keynote speaker Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. While Henry reflects on his own career failures amid the crowd of idealistic clean-cut “achievers,” Ron gets caught up in a fierce political debate over a gift of Cuban cigars for the Governor. As he tries to hunt down new cigars, Ron manages to offend Constance’s Hollywood Liberal sensibilities, and then lose an irreplaceable American flag. Meanwhile, Casey tries to visualize a “normal” life in Vermont, but comes to suspect Vermont itself isn’t the problem.”

Below are a couple of clips from the episode:

Party Down airs Fridays at 10:30p (E/P) on Starz.

Kelly West
Assistant Managing Editor

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
