Jeff Dunham's Minding The Monsters Will Hit DVD Right After Sunday's TV Premiere
Jeff Dunham, the ventriloquist comedian with the dirty mouth, is headed to Comedy Central this weekend and to DVD and Blu-ray soon after. On October 7, Comedy Central will air Dunham’s fifth comedy special, “Minding the Monsters,” which will feature some of Dunham’s most popular characters in spooktacular costumes in a graveyard setting. It makes the characters seem that much more kid friendly, until Dunham pops opens the mouths of his usual off-color characters. There's plenty of beeps and use of the word "ass" in this one, so avoid the clip if you aren't ready for the color.
The clip highlights Dunham’s great timing for a guy who has to talk for two. I’ve never been a fan of some of his more overt characters—like Walter in the clip—but I do appreciate the amount of business the man brings in. Last year the man sold over half a million tickets and ranked as the highest earning concert comedian in the world, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he continues his impressive run.
Minding the Monsters will hit Blu-ray and DVD on October 9, in a set that will come with far more extras than you would normally see with a comedy special. There will be some of the usual stuff, like outtakes and behind-the scenes fodder, but there will also be some ridiculous backstage photos and a segment discussing Walter’s transformation into a monster for the show. You can check out the full list, below.
