She’s a maniac on the floor and she’s coming to Lie To Me. I am of course referring to the news that Fox released today that Jennifer Beals will be playing a guest starring role in a multi-episode arc in the series. When can viewers expect to see Beals on the show? According to Fox, her first appearance will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 (8:00 PM ET/PT).
Beals is set to play Zoe Landau, Lightman’s (Tim Roth) ex-wife and Emily’s mother. In addition to being Lightman’s ex, Landau is an Assistant U.S. Attorney who needs to hire the Lightman Group to help her out with an arson case. What becomes quickly clear is that Landau and Lightman still have feelings for each other. Let the drama ensue!
Beals became famous when she starred in the classic ‘80’s film Flashdance. More recently, she was a series regular in six seasons of The L Word and has appeared in films including The Grudge 2, Runaway Jury and Four Rooms.
