Joan Rivers' How'd You Get So Rich? was one of those shows I stumbled upon by accident. But there was something about it that immediately caught my attention. In its short six-episode run, the show managed to inspire hope that while we may not be living the extravagant lifestyles of the people spotlighted, we could. Now, TV Land is bringing it back.
Renewed for a second season of six-more episodes, the new run kicks off Wednesday, May 5 at 10 PM ET. The show resonated with those viewers who did find it, because while it showcased the same kind of mansions and Bentleys you can see on Cribs and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, the focus was on people who'd made their own fortunes with ingenuity and hard work.
In other words, these people are living proof that the American Dream is still alive and can still happen, even if you don't hit the lottery. You just have to believe in yourself and be willing to take a chance on whatever it is that you're good at.
