It seems no matter how big some of these Hollywood stars get, they still love their TV cameos. Maybe they feel swooping down from that entertainment Mount Olympus known as Hollywood every so often makes them more human. Nicole Kidman is no exception.
The Moulin Rouge crooner and Stepford wife will make a brief appearance in the FX cosmetic surgery drama ‘Nip/Tuck.’ Her role: a nose job patient. Show creator Ryan Murphy recently cast her as the lead in his current movie project Need. But when the former Tom Cruise counterpart asked for a bit part in his show, who was he to say no?
Says Murphy, "I was talking to Nicole recently and she said, 'I want you to write me a part in Nip/Tuck.' So I think I'm going to write a part where she comes in and she's wearing that Virginia Woolf (in The Hours) nose. She's hilarious and I love her."
Good form Murphy, as Captain Hook might say. If there’s one thing ‘Nip/Tuck’ needs more of, it’s hot older women with sexy Australian accents. But for goodness sake man, leave that horrible prosthetic Woolf nose out of it, please.
No word yet on what episode the ever-classy Kidman will make her somewhat stunning debut. But keep an eye (and a nose) out. ‘Nip/Tuck’ airs Tuesdays at 10:00 PM EST on FX.
