The Killing Season 3 First Look Photo Shows Detectives Holder And Linden On The Case
I admit, I gave up on The Killing partway through the first season, and was relatively indifferent toward its cancellation and eventual un-cancellation at AMC over the last year. But the marketing for the upcoming third season has me thinking it might be time to give the series a second chance. From what we've heard about Season 3, the story will focus on a new case, which may be the perfect opportunity for new viewers and those of us who fell away from the show to give it another shot.
TVLine shared the photo above, which gives us a look at The Killing stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman as Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder, who look very concerned as they stand near a group of kids who don't seem to be particularly worried about whatever dark puzzle these two detectives are trying to solve.
TVLine points out that the series will pick up a year after the Rosie Larsen case was closed. But there's a new missing girl and Holder's search for her leads to a string of murders related to a case from Linden's past. The previously released poster for Season 3 showed the silhouette of a girls face behind some bloody and creepy looking tally marks.
While it doesn't sound like we'll need to get caught up on the first two seasons of the series in order to jump into Season 3, those who want a proper introduction to Linden and Holder can catch the first two seasons of the series on Netflix. The Killing Season 3 premieres June 2 on AMC.
