Kim Kardashian To Guest Star In HIMYM Episode

Rumor has it, Kim Kardashian has been added to the small list of guest stars set to appear in a certain episode of How I Met Your Mother scheduled to air in early 2009. The other two guest stars appearing in the episode are The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

How I Met Your Mother spoilers ahead!

According to E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos, her sources say Kardashian will be included among the guest stars set to appear in a January episode of HIMYM episode tentatively titled “Benefits.” In the episode, Marshall apparently has issues with pooping at work. I’m sure many can relate. In an effort to take care of some business, Marshall heads into the men’s room with a copy of Them Weekly to aid him in his quest. At some point, Kim, Heidi and Spencer, who are featured in the magazine taunt him from the cover of the magazine in a dream sequence.

I have about as much interest in Kardashian’s appearance on the show as I do Heidi and Spencer’s but the premise of the episode is fairly intriguing in an amusing sort of way. The direction HIMYM has taken in the recent seasons with exposing some fairly common (though often totally random) human behaviors has given the show a sort of Seinfeldesque quality to it. Like the episode when Lily’s style of speaking altered dramatically whenever she was around a certain friend of hers or whenever the group of friends mercilessly poke fun at each others’ random quirks. Devoting a whole episode on the “work poop” seems like something we might have seen the Seinfeld friends mull over for an episode.
