Is Libby Leaving Lost?
Could “Lost” be on the verge of losing Libby? Cynthia Watros, who plays Hurley’s sort-of girlfriend Libby on the hit ABC series is sniffing around a over at CBS. The Hollywood Reporter says she’s been tapped to star opposite Tom Cavanagh in a comedy pilot called “My-Ex Life” for them.
The show would cast Watros and Cavanagh as two best friends who also happen to be a divorced couple sharing custody of their kids. The catch for Watros is that because of her contract with CBS and “Lost”, she’s only officially listed as a guest star on the show. But, if the pilot gets picked up she’ll obviously get a more permanent place on it.
The real concern for television fans isn’t whether or not another crappy comedy about divorced people gets picked up, but what is going to happen to Libby if Watros jumps ship? We already know that the guys over at “Lost” have no problem with killing off characters. If Libby wants out, they’ll probably be happy to give her the axe. Of course, it’s always possible that Watros could try to do both shows, but with “Lost” shooting in Hawaii that would be pretty tough.
But, it’s only a pilot right now and the odds of it being picked up by CBS or anyone else are pretty long. If it is picked up, wish Watros good luck and say goodbye to Libby. It’s about time the smoke monster came back and killed someone anyway.
