Lifetime Diagnosed With Madness
Get the tissue box ready. Taking inspiration from events that happened in a true story, the Lifetime network has given the green light to a pilot called ‘The Madness of Ava,’ starring Ever Carradine.
The actress who formerly portrayed Kelly Ludlow in ABC’s girl power series ‘Commander in Chief,’ will play a brilliant ‘House’-esque doctor diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In true Lifetime fashion, the new pilot will also show how Ava’s disorder affects her personal life, including family and friends. The show is based on the story of a female doctor who worked in a Massachusetts General Hospital.
TV.com reports that Lifetime has also green flagged another series titled ‘The Virgin of Akron.’ ‘Virgin’ revolves around a recently rehabbed woman who returns home to Ohio from Manhattan to do community service and recover with the help of her dysfunctional family. However, she quickly gains notoriety after published reports say that a vision of the Virgin Mary blessed her following a car accident on her way home from the funny farm.
Carradine has seen her star rise in recent years. In addition to her stint on ‘Commander,’ IMDB.com reports that she also played roles on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘House,’ as well as ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.’ She is also set to play Anne Heche’s younger sister in ABC’s new drama ‘Men in Trees,’ scheduled to begin shooting early next year in Vancouver.
