Lisa Rinna is headed back to daytime. The former talk show host and Celebrity Apprentice star is headed back to Days of Our Lives where she will reprise her role as Billie Reed, a character she played for over 150 episodes in the nineties and played again between 2002 and 2003. Filming for her upcoming role begins this week.
Rinna will return to Days of Our Lives on March 8th. According to THR, part of the reprisal will entail Billie Reed meeting up with her former love, Bo (Peter Reckell). Reed is also expected to get into some drama with her mother, Kate (Lauren Koslow). According to Rinna, coming back to Days of Our Lives feels like “a new old chapter.”
” I have done reality shows, talk shows and I thought, what a great way to come back and play a character that I love to play so much.”
At the end of the day, Rinna just seems happy to be getting back in to acting. In the last decade, the actress has had a small, recurring role on Veronica Mars but has mostly done a little guest starring here and there –most memorably as a cougar mom in a 2010 episode of Community. Hopefully, going back to a daytime soap will afford her some more prominent roles in the future.
