Lost's Emilie De Ravin To Guest Star On Once Upon A Time
Half the fun with watching ABC’s Once Upon A Time is trying to figure out (or remember) which fairytale character the people inhabiting Storybrooke are supposed to be. Since Once Upon A Time flashes between our world and the fairytale world the characters once resided in, some people are a dead giveaway. With the same names and faces, this could become a boring activity. Luckily, the ABC program plans to continue adding fresh faces as the season moves along.
Today, ABC announced Emilie de Ravin will guest star on Once Upon A Time. The 29-year-old actress is set to play Belle from Beauty and The Beast. Ravin is probably most known for her role on another ABC program, Lost. Since both programs have the same producers, it’s seems likely the connection proved fruitful for the actress. Outside of television, Ravin has starred in Remember Me and had a memorable role in the teen film noir flick Brick, among other roles.
While Ravin’s Once Upon A Time gig is expected to only last one episode, her tenure as Belle will show she has a connection to Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), who thus far has managed to inspire the heebie-jeebies in viewers. Other than that little hint, her role is being kept under wraps. According to TV Guide; however, a Gaston character is also expected to show up during the episode.
If the latter proves true, it’s too bad the line “nobody spits like Gaston” doesn’t appear in every version of the fairytale. At any rate, it’ll be interesting to see if Belle gets to go platinum or if they’ll throw on a wig to keep her close to Disney’s version.
