Lost's Jorge Garcia Books A Substantial Role In The Ordained Pilot
Lost’s Jorge Garcia has signed on for CBS’ new drama pilot, The Ordained. As much as I’m sure most of us would like to see the man garbed in priest attire, it doesn’t seem as if we’ll be that lucky. Instead, the man will play the staff investigator of a law firm. Which means he’s basically going to be The Good Wife’s Kalinda, without the sexy leather boots.
The news comes just on the heels of this week’s casting of Charlie Cox as one of the lead roles in the drama pilot, which will follow a powerful American family with a pretty unique set of problems. When the family faces an assassination threat, Cox’s character, Tom, will become a lawyer, which is assumedly where Garcia’s character comes in. According to THR, Garcia will play Carlos, a hard-working investigator with a comedic sensibility who uses oddball methods to gain answers. Carlos will also be a big ally to Tom in the office.
Judging by the popularity of his appearance on Once Upon A Time earlier this season, Garcia is still a fan favorite actor. Still, the man appeared Alcatraz last season, and that show failed to impress viewers--which means he hasn’t had a hit series since Lost aired on ABC. I’m sure he’s looking for a meaty role that will get him back in the limelight and, hopefully, The Ordained will do that for the actor.
We’ll let you know whether or not the drama pilot moves forward at CBS.
