Artist Ty Mattson is one of Lost’s biggest fans and he may also be Lost’s most talented fan. On his website he’s been creating a series of Lost related art pieces… no he hasn’t made a sculpture of the Smoke Monster (though I would so buy that). Instead he started out by creating a series of incredible Lost posters to celebrate the premiere of the final season, and now that we’re in the thick of it, he’s doing something even better.
His newest art series takes every episode of Lost’s final season and recreates it in amazing, black and white. Every episode gets one image which symbolizes what happened. For instance, here’s the one he did for the last episode, “Happily Ever After”, in which Desmond gets stuck inside a giant electromagnet:
He’s done an image for every episode in the season so far, and should have a new one posted after each episode every week. Here’s a random selection of some of the others he’s done so far, check back on his blog here for new ones on a weekly basis.
