Magic City To Get An Early Preview At Starz Following Spartacus Vengeance Finale

Following the conclusion of Spartacus: Vengeance later this month, Starz will keep Friday nights buzzing with their new drama series Magic City. The period drama doesn’t makes its official debut on the pay-cable network until April, however Starz is set to air an early look at the season premiere early.

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olga Kurylenko, and Danny Huston, Magic City takes place in the late 1950’s in a luxurious hotel in Miami. The story follows the drama and glamor of the age, and involves Morgan’s character Ike Evans, who’s “sold his soul” to a mob boss to fund his dream project, the Miramar Playa Hotel. The series is set to make its official debut on Starz on Friday, April 6, however Starz announced today that they’ll be airing an early look at the series premiere on Friday, March 30, immediately following the season finale of Spartacus: Vengeance.

Those who look what they see from the premiere can get an even better look at the series, as various cable affiliates are set to have the first three episodes available on-demand:

Affiliates offering the first three episodes free on demand starting March 31 include: Comcast’s Xfinity TV, DIRECTV, DISH, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, AT&T U-verse® TV, Suddenlink Communications , Mediacom Communications Corporation, Armstrong, DIRECTV Puerto Rico, Buckeye CableSystem, GCI, Massillon Cable TV/Clear Picture Inc., Antietam Cable Television, Inc., GVTC, BVU, and Frankfort Plant Board.

The first three episodes will also be available on Starz’ website beginning March 31.


And for those of you who don’t have Starz, it just so happens that there’s a Spring Free Preview set up from March 29 through April 2, which will give DirecTV, DISH, Verizon FIOS, and AT&T U-verse access to all Starz and Encore premium channels during that time-frame.
