While ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ may no longer be serving up new episodes of the hilariously rambunctious Wilkerson family, former second eldest bully brother Justin Berfield (or “Reese” in the show) has kept himself in the fast lane. The NASCAR fast lane, that is.
Recently, the spiky haired twenty-year old teamed up with NASCAR racing legend Richard Petty to produce a new reality TV series where fans will get to fulfill their tire-squealing fantasies as car racers.
Says Berfield, "I can't give too much away but it's going to be a very exciting project." Exciting indeed. NASCAR fans seem to grow exponentially every year, so no doubt this new show will appeal to a wide fan base.
Berfield’s J2 Productions is partnering with America’s CMT cable channel to produce the series. No word yet on when it will air, or what the speedy new show will be called. For now, here’s a sampling of Berfield (who, by the way, bears an uncanny resemblance to ‘Girls Gone Wild’ creator Joe Francis) as Reese with co-star Frankie Muniz (also of Agent Cody Banks fame):
