Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Teaser Glimpses 7 Seconds Of Thrilling Footage

Coulson lives!

That was seven seconds of thrilling footage, and there's going to be plenty more where that came from. We learned last week that ABC gave Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a series order for their 2013-2014 season. Hopefully we'll get to see some clips or a trailer soon, especially with the network upfronts set to take place this week. In the meantime, we got a quick but exciting glimpse of the series in the teaser above. Nothing says "Joss Whedon was here" quite like action, fierce female characters and Agent Coulson on a mission!

Coulson being alive is barely a spoiler, since we've known for some time that Joss Whedon's S.H.I.E.L.D. TV project would center around Clark Gregg's beloved character. He's appeared in the recent Marvel films, including The Avengers (spoilers if you haven't seen it), which is where the character seemingly met his demise. But he's coming back for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and he's bringing some other very capable characters with him. Also set to star in the series, which will hopefully have a spot on the fall schedule - as opposed to Midseason 2014 - is Ming Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge. And we may also see Angel's J. August Richards, though news of his casting came after the pilot wrapped, so if and when he does appear, it might not be in the first episode.

We'll be sure to share whatever photos and video we can get our hands on from this series as they're released. in the meantime, those who want to keep up with the S.H.I.E.L.D. updates might want to "like" the show's Facebook page.
