Empire State, ABC’s modern Romeo and Juliet tale, has Beau Garrett and Mike Vogel joining the cast as the two main leads. Meanwhile Sophie Winkleman, owner of the best name in this news report, has landed the title role in NBC’s 100 Questions for Charlotte Payne. CBS’s House Rules, about a freshman group in Congress, has found its male lead in Warren Christie. Denzel Whitaker, owner of the best combination of more famous people’s names in this news story, will join Rules in a supporting role.
Matthew Lillard and Janet Varney will play two halves of the couples to appear in an untitled Jeff Strauss comedy for ABC. And to round out today’s engorged list of pilot casting is Larry Joe Campbell playing Cedric the Entertainer’s training officer in The Law, Jaime Lee Kirchner gets added to Mercy, Archie Panjabi is a go for CBS’ The Good Wife, and finally Rachel Nichols and Laz Alonso step in to CBS’s US Attorney show.
