Medium's Patricia Arquette Joins Boardwalk Empire's Season 4
Longtime actress Patricia Arquette has landed a pretty big role on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. The Medium actress has joined Season 4 of HBO’s period drama in a major recurring role, playing opposite series lead Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi).
Deadline first reported the news, noting that Arquette’s character is Sally Wheet, a speakesy owner living in Tampa, who sounds like a rough and tumble sort of gal with plenty of nerve. Arquette will have to hold her own against a slew of talent set to appear in HBO’s program in Season 4. Besides the normal, epic cast list, Jeffrey Wright and Office Space’s Ron Livingston have joined the new season, among others. Season 3 featured plenty of deaths and problems, leaving room for tons of new characters, and I can’t wait to see how the new talent does in the series.
Patricia Arquette had a nice little run on NBC (and then CBS) for seven seasons with the modest hit, Medium. Since her network program ended its run in 2011, the True Romance actress has taken a few film roles, as well as a high profile guest starring appearance on Law & Order: SVU. Arquette has never been the most apparent of the Arquette siblings in the world of acting, but she is one of the more striking and will hopefully make the best of her run on Boardwalk Empire. HBO’s series is currently in production and is eyeing a fall premiere date. We’ll keep you updated as more Boardwalk Empire news breaks.
