Merlin Will Return To The US On A New Network
Those of us who did bother to watch NBC's broadcast of the British Merlin series have been left hanging in limbo since it ended its run. The second series ran in late 2009 in the UK, and still no one knew when and if it might air in the US. Syfy now has the answer, as they've picked up the show and will broadcast both series starting March 2010.
If you want to catch up on the first series, though, you'd better make sure you have some coffee handy. Syfy will rebroadcast the 13 episodes in marathon format on Sunday, March 28, 2010 starting at 10 PM ET. The series will then continue with the never-before-seen-stateside-second-series as part of their regular Friday slate of original programming on April 2, 2010; the same night Stargate Universe returns from its long mid-season break, according to The Futon Critic.
Even better news, a third series has been confirmed for BBC One. Now that we don't have to worry about a US home for the show, we can simply look forward to seeing the continuing adventures of Arthur and his sidekick Merlin -- or is that the other way around?
