The Michael J. Fox Show Clip Introduces Us To The Henry Family
The above clip gives us our first look at Michael J. Fox's new comedy series, The Michael J. Fox show. The series comes from Cougar Torwn's Sam Laybourne and is one of three new comedies set to air on Thursday nights on NBC, come this fall..
We expect to see the full trailer for this new series by tomorrow when NBC does their upfront presenation. In the meantime, the clip gives us a glimpse into the Henry household, led by Fox's Mike Henry, one of New York's favorite news anchors, who had to put his career on hold to spend time with his family and focus on his Parkinson's disease diagnosis. But now his kids are grown and he's looking to get back to work, which is where this story picks up.
In addition to Fox, the series stars Wendell Pierce as Mike's old boss, Breaking Bad's Betsy Brandt as Mike's wife, and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, who plays the role of Leigh.
Thursday nights are going to seem very different to us this fall, with Parks and Recreations being the only returning comedy currently slated to air on NBC that night. Still, I doubt I'm alone in being excited to see Fox return to television. It'll also be particularly interesting to see how his character and the disease Fox has been struggling with is presented in a comedy series.
We'll be sure to post the trailer once NBC shares it. In the meantime, find more information on The Michael J. Fox Show at NBC.com.
Update: Here's the official trailer!
