Mike Myers is my all time favorite SNL alum. He is hilarious in every single sketch/movie/situation I’ve ever seen him in. MTV was so impressed with his last turn as the host of their Movie Awards show, that they’ve asked him back. The only time I’ve watched the MTV Movie Awards was the last time he hosted, and I was just as impressed as the MTV Execs who say, “Mike Myers blew us away last time he hosted the MTV Movie Awards with his lord of the dance and over the top musical productions.”
Hollywood Reporter reported the news yesterday, and they say the show is set to air on June 1. When Myers hosted the show the previous time, it was stupendous, and will be quite difficult to top, but I think he can handle it.
As I said, I am a huge Mike Myers fan – I love his entire portfolio. Wayne, Austin Powers, Shrek, the Cat in the Hat - I love them all – but my all time favorite was So I Married an Axe Murderer. If you have haven’t seen it, move it to the top of your queue on Netflix or Blockbuster and set a date to watch it. You will not be disappointed!
