Million Dollar Money Drop Preview: Seven Questions, Giant Pile of Cash
Will Fox’s upcoming game show Million Dollar Money Drop become the next mindlessly addicting game show? From the clips we have, I’d say there’s a good possibility of that.
With other series on hiatus and families beginning to gather for the holidays, next week seems like a perfect week to air a game show like this one. In Million Dollar Money Drop two people are given a million dollars in cash and are set the task of answering seven multiple choice questions in an effort to keep the money. It sounds easy enough, but watch the clips in the video below to get a better idea of how it works.
The most notable difference between Million Dollar Money Drop and most other game shows is that the prize money is physically in play. In other game shows, the cash prize is usually a number on a screen. With MDMD, they’re actually holding the money and where they set it down determines whether or not they’ll get to keep it.
Below are a couple of video interviews Fox provided, featuring host Kevin Pollak, a very enthusiastic Jeff Apploff (Executive Producer) and Kevin Wilson, one of the people responsible for guarding the money.
Million Dollar Money Drop premieres Monday, Dec. 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and airs on four consecutive nights, Tuesday, Dec. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), Wednesday, Dec. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Dec. 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (Additional airdates to be announced.)
