It looks like the CW could have another New York drama series centering on pretty people in the works. The drama pilot in the works is called A Beautiful Life and the network has tapped Mischa Barton, whom you probably remember from her role as Marissa Cooper in Fox’s The O.C.
The Hollywood Reporter posted the casting news, stating that Barton has signed on to play Sonja, a supermodel who’s having a hard time keeping on top of her game and is coming close to slipping in the world of modeling and the “high-fashion circuit.”
If the show’s about modeling, they made a good choice as Barton is gorgeous. As for the premise of the series, I’m about as interested in it as I am in watching Gossip Girl or any of CW’s other drama series for that matter, but I’m sure there are plenty of people out there (mostly teenaged girls, I’m guessing) who will love this show if the pilot goes to series.
