Moaning, Groaning On The Set Of Lost
Looks like ‘Lost’ has more troubles beyond its recent ratings nose dive. Now, actors Naveen Andrews and Dominic Monaghan are complaining about their lack of screen time in the third season of the tropical island show.
Not content with making $78,000 a piece per week playing Sayid Jarrah (Andrews) and Charlie Pace (Monaghan) the British actors admit they spend a good bit of their time just lounging around. Andrews says, "Even though I like getting paid for doing nothing, it is nice occasionally to work."
Pace adds in an assuredly equally snooty English accent, "As one person works more, work is being taken away from another. You have to make your peace with that."
Speaking on behalf of the thousands and thousands of unemployed actors living on the streets or just waking up on the couches at their friend’s houses, hoping with all their hearts for a bit part in that play they auditioned for last night: SHUT UP!
Seriously, you get paid $78,000 a week do sit around and do nothing? A week! Do you know how many actors out there would kill to be in your position? You are entitled to nothing, nothing! Just be glad you have what you have because it can all be gone tomorrow. And based on the ratings decline for your show, that could very well happen. So knock off the childish behavior and do something your agents would never tell you to do: act like adults.
Anyway…‘Lost’ and all its crybaby theatrics can be seen Wednesday nights on ABC at 10 PM EST.
