More Boys At TBS
Tomboy sportswriter P.J. Franklin (Jordana Spiro) will pal around with her male cohorts for another nine episodes of the hit TBS show ‘My Boys.’
With such publications as the LA Times lauding the sitcom as “the real deal” and “charming” by the New York Times, the order from TBS comes as no shocker. Undoubtedly, the series continuation is a fantastic early Christmas present for the 1 million viewers the comedy attracted on average in just its first six episodes.
Production is scheduled to begin on the new eps in January of next year, with the first half of season one concluding with a mini-marathon. Pairs of new shows will air on Tuesday, December 26, and Wednesday, December 27, with a finale set for Thursday, December 28.
Says TNT/TBS senior VP of original programming Michael Wright according to Variety, "It's understood that comedy is one of the most difficult forms of entertainment to do well, so it's a great feeling to know that our first attempt at creating an original scripted comedy series has been so well received."
Spiro first attracted attention in a minor role as a party girl in the John Cusack romantic comedy Must Love Dogs. Before getting her big break with ‘Boys,’ she saw her share of bit parts on a variety of TV shows like ‘JAG,’ ‘CSI: NY,’ and ‘Cold Case.’
‘My Boys’ also stars Kyle Howard and Reid Scott, and is exec produced by Jamie Tarses and Gavin Palone. A new episode of ‘Boys’ airs this Tuesday at 10 PM ET.
