The Most Psycho Thing A Sons Of Anarchy Fan Ever Told Charlie Hunnam
Without question, celebrities receive a more transparent form of communication from other people, namely fans wanting to prove themselves more diehard than the next person. Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam took a particularly bold earful at one point from a fan, an experience he shared with Conan O’Brien on last night’s Conan, which was completely dedicated to the stellar FX drama. Here’s how Hunnam put it.
Catching on to the fact that Hunnam didn’t choose a pronoun, O’Brien wants to confirm that it was a female that said it, to which Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter interjects and jokingly says it was his wife, Katey Sagal, who plays Jax’s mother on the show. A little dark Oedipal humor for the late night crowd; that’s how Sutter’s wheelhouse operates.
It takes a pretty forward person to scream that they want to rape someone’s TV persona. We’re living in an Internet world where the “10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman” video has been viral for two weeks and has inspired spoofs and a variety of similar clips. Charlie Hunnam’s story was amusing, but it was also just another more distilled example of how some people’s ids work.
To be fair, Hunnam does ride the same motorcycle Jax rides and thus comes closer to resembling his fictional character than many actors do, and the person did use his show name. It’s funny how someone’s series persona can be a mass murdering leech of a human being, but it’s all potentially forgiven for an hour between the sheets.
Sutter and Hunnam went on to talk about having to make up names for sexual acts for Sons of Anarchy, as the censors didn’t want them using previously existing terminology. Check it out in the video below, and pay close attention to just how much of Conan’s studio audience is female.
One has to wonder if Hunnam will have to hear people yelling out that they want to anal raindance with him from now on. He looks like he can handle it, though. Check out a couple more hilarious Conan clips from the episode on the next page. Here’s Kurt Sutter talking about his total pisser of a fantasy ending for Sons of Anarchy.
And here’s Drea de Matteo sharing a particularly strange confession involving Conan.
