Mr. Eko Wants To Return For Final Season Of Lost
Some people just can’t make up their mind. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played the mysterious Mr. Eko on Lost, has told Entertainment Weekly that he’d like to make an appearance in the show’s final year. The actor opted to leave the show during the third season after deciding “the character was complete.” That translated onscreen to a fatal encounter between Eko and Smokey the Smoking Smoke Monster.
In light of last season’s climactic island-nuking opening the door for dead characters return to the show, apparently Akinnuoye-Agbaje has changed his mind about Mr. Eko’s completeness. At the G.I. Joe premiere, he told EW that he has talked with the Lost folks about returning. Of course, it’s just talk at this point, as the Lost producers haven’t even commented, much less confirmed anything. If he does return, I for one look forward to a smack-down between Eko and Evil Locke.
