NBC 2013-2014 Schedule Moves Parenthood, Revolution And Chicago Fire, New Series Added
A day ahead of their upfront presentation, NBC has posted their 2013-2014 schedule, which lays out where most of the new and returning series will air throughout the week come next fall. A few notable schedule changes appear to be taking place, including a move to Wednesdays for Revolution and a shift to Thursdays for Parenthood. Absent from the list is Community, but NBC did include it among the scripted series confirmed to return, so it will be back. It's just a matter of when.
Hannibal is also absent from the list, as is Celebrity Apprentice. We may not know the fate of either show this week, though NBC does say the decision for both shows will be made in the next few weeks.
NBC is probably making the right choice in putting Parenthood on Thursday night after the comedies. The family-focused drama may not have the highest ratings, but it's an established series, and given the string of cancelled newbies that briefly occupied that spot, a drama with an established fan base may fare better there.
New comedies to join the network this fall are Welcome to the Family, Sean Saves the World, The Michael J. Fox Show. For Midseason, we have The Family Guide and a TV adaptation of About a Boy. On the drama side, for fall it's The Blacklist, Ironside and Dracula. For Midseason, we have Believe, Crisis and Crossbones.
NBC also has Chicago PD, The Night Shift and Undatable lined-up for Midseason, though there's no set day for those yet. And the above schedule is subject to change as NBC gets their ducks in a row once fall gets closer.
Stay tuned for more information, photos and videos for the new shows!
