NBC Fall 2009 TV Premiere Schedule

NBC comes in hot on the heels of ABC with their fall and 2010 midseason lineups. The big issue the peacock network has is their offer to Jay Leno for that 10pm weeknight slot. To battle the loss of an hour for scripted programming the network is adopting a duality format where one show will air during the fall and then replaced in the winter. In this way NBC not only keeps the same amount of original programming, but can actually offer a bit more than other networks.

The question is whether this will work. One thing that’ll be nice is we’ll get a full season of Heroes, so we can get that out of the way before the year ends. NBC is also following the crowd with the movement of new struggling shows to Friday nights as Southland transitions to 9:00pm on Friday.

From February 12 – 28 NBC will preempt its regular programming for the Winter Olympics.
