NBC’s gearing up for the next new season by picking up three new series. It seems they’re continuing to explore genre diversity as they’ve added on one comedy, one thriller and one series that sounds like it’ll be something of a dramedy.
The first of the series stars Jason Ritter and is a thriller that follows a guy who ends up uncovering “the biggest cover-up in U.S. history” when trying to figure out what happened to his fiancé. Below is NBC’s full description of the series.
If it’s comedies you’re interested in, NBC seems to be finding the funny in the increase in companies outsourcing their customer service employment to other countries. Outsourced follows a guy whose job it is to familiarize a group of Indian employees with American culture so that they’re better able to serve the gag-gift company’s customers.
Finally, there’s Love Bites and I doubt I’m alone in being relieved that this is not yet another vampire drama. The title had me concerned, but no, this new hour-long comedy series stars Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton and seems to be love/relationship driven in story. There’s a whole set of guest stars set to appear in the series’ pilot. NBC’s full description below!
