NBC Prepares Their Mid-Season Lineup

Strike or no strike, NBC wont be entirely without new programming come this January. Sure, Heroes may be off the air for the rest of the season, having wrapped up “Volume 2” earlier this week but the Peacock has a few series (some new, some returning) up its sleeve to fill the airwaves come this January.

Fans of Medium wont have to wait very long for the fourth-season premiere. NBC will air the first episode of the new season on January 7th. Meanwhile, Deal or No Deal will move into the Monday night, 9 o’clock timeslot to fill the gap left by Heroes, which closed out its second season due to the writers strike. Since Deal is moving to Mondays, NBC has filled the Friday night 8:00 p.m. timeslot with new episodes of 1 vs. 100.

Among the new shows is The Guinness Book of World Records. Set to air on January 27th, the special will countdown various world records and work its way up to some crazy “death-defying stunt.” Then there’s Top 100 Most Outrageous Moments, which will feature videos submitted by viewers as well as funny TV bloopers and that sort of thing. It premieres on February 10th.

NBC’s new reality series The Baby Borrowers premieres on February 18th and will feature a bunch of teenagers being thrust into the busy world of adulthood as they move out, get jobs and have a baby.

Clip shows, reality TV and game shows, people. Please remember to include “An end to the writers strike” to your letters to Santa this year, folks.
