NBC Renews 30 Rock And Parenthood

Word on the fate of various TV series continues to trickle in, the latest of which concerns two NBC shows, neither of which have performed especially well in the ratings, though both seemed likely to return, at least for one more season. While we won't see the official 2012-2013 lineup for NBC until next week, it looks like we can expect to see 30 Rock and Parenthood on it.

Earlier this week, we shared word that it was looking like 30 Rock would be back for a seventh season, which would likely be its last. TVLine confirmed today that NBC has renewed the comedy, giving it a 13-episode order for its seventh and final season. Unfortunately, there's still no word on whether or not we'll see Parks and Recreation or Community on next season's line-up, but our fingers are most definitely crossed for both.

Meanwhile, on the drama front, TVLine reports that there's good news for Parenthood as well. The Bravermans will be back! The site confirms that the family-focused drama series has been renewed for a 15-episode fourth season. Parenthood joins Law & Order: SVU, Smash and Grimm among the current drama series NBC has decided to move forward with in the coming season.

Hopefully we'll hear more good news about NBC's other series (Awake, Parks & Rec, Community) soon. NBC's upfront presentation is scheduled to take place Monday morning, so at the very latest, we should only have to wait until then.
