NBC Renews Three Series

If you’ve been enjoying some of NBC’s new midseason series, you’ll be happy to know that the peacock has picked up Who Do You Think You Are?, Minute to Win It and The Marriage Ref for its 2010-2011 season.

Paul Telegdy (Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios) made the announcement today.

"All of these new series have demonstrated increasing popularity and generated far-reaching interest among viewers," said Telegdy. "Equally important, each has a compelling and innovative format, and a second season will allow these shows to grow creatively and attract an even wider audience."

Minute to Win It is a game show, hosted by Guy Fieri, that follows contestants as they attempt to complete a series of tasks using regular household items in under a minute. Who Do You Think You Are? follows a different celebrity in each episode as they examine their ancestry and discover new stories from their lineage. And on the subject of celebrities, The Marriage Ref features different couples, each with a dispute that needs to be examined. A panel of three celebrity guests (that differ each week) observe the couple via video and discuss who is right and who is wrong.
