NBC's School Pride Premiere Pushed Back

NBC has decided to move the premiere date of their upcoming new reality series School Pride. The hour-long series was supposed to begin airing in September but has been pushed back to October.

School Pride is a reality series that features people within a community as they work together to fix up their local school. According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC is moving the series’ premiere from September to Friday, October 15th. The mentioned reason was to move the show away from the big premiere week in late September and move it somewhere with more “breathing room to layer its messaging.”

If the concern is focused on building an audience, perhaps NBC will consider moving the show away from Friday nights, at least for the first few episodes as that’s traditionally one of the worst nights for TV ratings.
